After obtaining a diploma in Jazz Studies at Vancouver Island University, Jonnie completed a Bachelor of Music and teaching certificate at University of Victoria.
After teaching in the school system in interior B.C. over the past few years, Jonnie moved back to beautiful Victoria and is now teaching band at royal oak middle school..
Jonnie also plays in a number of other local bands including Ajna, the New Groovement, and Kariba Surprise.
